When a member of Charlotte’s city council hits you up for tickets to the Bobcats game – it’s safe to say that pretty much everyone wants to go to the parties at the Frontcourt Lounge within the Time Warner Cable Arena®.

The arena (and Frontcourt Lounge) was the place to be last Friday when the Bobcats beat LeBron and the Cavs for the third time this season.

As my city councilman friend and his wife showed us – the Frontcourt Lounge is a good place to take your spouse on a date, and a place where (in their words) “40 year olds can party too.” It’s also apparently a good place to take a first date as noted by my single guy friends that hound me for tickets in order to impress a girl. But I get it… it’s like taking them to a game and an upscale restaurant – at the same time.

You see, Frontcourt in the arena is not just a section in the arena… it’s an upscale sports bar.

Sports bars should take game notes from Frontcourt… it is the epitome of a sports bar, and not just because it is inside a sporting complex. It has televisions everywhere showing action on the court… and ESPN. You can literally get out of your seat and walk right up and watch the game live. You can also order everything from arena food to a full-service gourmet buffet. And the bartenders make special drinks… such as the Astro Pop martini… which is like stuffing an entire candy store into a glass.

All aboard the bobcats train… and the Frontcourt Lounge is the place to sit back and enjoy the ride.
