The Bobcats played in front of their second-straight sold out crowd Saturday and didn’t disappoint as they beat the Golden State Warriors, 101-90.
“It’s big for us,” Bobcats guard Raymond Felton said of Saturday’s win. “We’ve got to stay close and get past these teams that are close to us and try to make the playoffs. We’ve got the team to do it, all we’ve got to do is continue to play the defense we’ve played the last two games and the offense will take care of itself.”
Charlotte (30-31) was led in scoring by guard D.J. Augustin, who had 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting off the bench.
Gerald Wallace added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Bobcats, while Boris Diaw came up one assist shy of a triple-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.
“Gerald, Boris and D.J. (made the difference in the fourth quarter). We were struggling but I thought those guys did a nice job,” said Bobcats Head Coach Larry Brown. “We defended great. Their zone made us shoot a lot of jumpers, a lot of three-point shots, but when we started to get the ball in the middle to Boris, he broke the zone down.”
The Warriors (17-45) were led by Charlotte-native Stephen Curry who scored 25 points in his return to the Queen City.
The Bobcats return to action at home Tuesday when they take on Dwyane Wade and the division rival Miami Heat (32-31) at 7 p.m.

Great win fellas! Keep the same intensity and skys the limit for us. The funny thing is that we have not even came close to reaching our potential. There is no reason we can’t win rest of the games. GO BOBCATS!!!!!!!!!!
